At a recent press conference Bush was fielding questions about the impending approval of Judge Roberts and was asked the following by an NPR correspondant:
"Mr. President, in light of all the recent discussion on the matter and Judge Roberts commitment to not comment on his opinions, what is your personal stance on Roe versus Wade?
The President considered the question and replied:
"Frankly, I don't really care. But those people do need to get out of New Orleans."
