You say they aren't. A hundred ways. In a container, via ship thru any number of smaller ports. Hell toss the thing off the side and float it to a beach. In pieces brought across the US-Canadian border, the US-Mexican border. Build 6 bombs and attempt to bring 'em in six different ways. One would make it.
What would they gain from this? All they'd really achieve is the satisfaction of a bunch of dead USers and then the small issue of having their country turned to glass. Such a weapon is clearly much more useful as a deterant against invasion, where it would work very well.
I'm hoping that's a typo. Because even with this most recent article I'm seeing nowhere where any sort of security guarantee was being talked about was required or expected.
But Cirincione said in an interview that the United States was not about to give Iran the security guarantees it needs.
Happy? Jeeze, It doesn't matter now anyway! As we've established the deal is done. On Monday the enrichment stops (hopefully).

Not going to deter anything. But like I said let them have them. And when the get thru developing the Shahab 5 and 6 (based on North Korean designs) let Europe and Russia worry about that hanging over their heads. But the first noises they make towards Israel..... I'm guessing that the Israelis will handle it like they handled the Iraqi nuclear program.

But again let them have them and live with the responsibility.

You really don't pay attention to the details. At no point was Iran seeking security assurances from the US nor were the Europeans. Joseph Cirincione, an American fellow at the Carniege Institute (not a diplomat involved in the process) is who you are saying. For someone that wants to isolate the US you keeping dragging them back into everything.

It would be nice for them to stop enrichment but its kinda like getting a 3 year old to stop writing on the wall but leaving him next to the wall with the crayon. He'll start again as soon as the mood suits him. The Iranians have claimed to stop before but started again.

Hopefully it will be different this time.

Huh? I want to isolate the US? And you accuse me of not paying attention! Dude, one of the main things I keep banging on about is how the current insular policy is stupid. Cirincione was asked for his viewpoint for no reason at all? They just picked some punter? I know the standards of journalism are low these days, but come on. Anyway, as I've said twice now, we've moved on from that point like 3 days ago now! FFS, can we drop it?

Why are you so scared of NK then?

Good - I'm glad we agree on the main points then, although I wouldn't equate Iran with a 3 year old. They are an ancient country with more culture and tradition than a lot of places.

Because Kim Il Jung is a complete wack job. If he could come up with the idea to kidnap kidnapping of Choe Eun-hee and her ex-husband Shin Sang-ok to improve North Korean films then I'm guessing he is pretty much capable of waking up morning and deciding to start lobbing missles at Japan or Australia because he wanted to see some cool fireworks.

Ancient country, ancient culture don't mean dick in the real world nor do they equate to any sort of stability or give me any confidence. You go on and on about GWB and his religious bent causing all sorts of issues.... Iran is much worse (its a theocracy in case you missed that part) and as a result of that is much more unpredictable. So you're right the comparison to a 3 year old isn't fair. I can pretty much guess what a 3 year old will do next.
