Well I went out last week to get some pictures of me doing a 6 stair drop at a local college. I ended up having to do the drop about 7 or 8 times (maybe more, I don't really remember) in order to get all the right shots. After doing this drop repeatedly, and then riding around a little more, I noticed that something was not right with my fork. The shock compresses about half an inch, and then it feels like it hits on something. After this, it can still be pushed the rest of the way through it's travel. It's an old school Judy SL, probably about 96-97. I don't know much about the internals of it, but I'm planning on taking it apart and seeing if I can figure it out. I've never worked on a fork before, so it's going to be a learning experience. I can't wait :D.

Wahahahahaha... I had a Judy back in 1997 and I thinks it's safe to say you have exceeded it's intended use by a few stairs. :D

I'd still try and warranty it though...

You know I would try, but I'm just way too lazy for that. Also, I highly doubt I could get anything especially seeing as how Rock Shox is owned by Sram now.

ummmm sram has a KILLER warrenty program and so did rock shox for a long time. they had to cut back on all their good warrenty programs b/c it was costing a lot of money and when you are going downhill, well you simply have to cut back on things that are costing you a lot of $$......but yeah that fork is WAY out of warrenty, i'd be way willing to beat having dealt w/ those guys(super nice btw) that they would get a good laugh if you tried to send it back to em :D
