I got my new ridge frame for sinister today and I gotta say I'm very impressed with the quality put into this thing. I started on it around 6:30 and the build went surprisingly smooth. Here's where I started...

seat post and clamp added...

headset installed, ht union is a work of art...

went ahead and face the bb and iscg mount...

cranks and chainguid installed...

nice!

new SIC stem installed clamping a 6" Break Out steer...

carefully wrapped chainstay...

finished product...

thanks to fellow monkey KL for the wheelset. They are the bomb for sure!

I should have a preliminary ride report this weekend. I rode it around the yard and I really like the fork right off the bat. I could only imagine how awesome the new 7" break outs are with the spv.

I just like hard tails for some reason. The endless is my urban ride and the ridge is for trail riding. Seems like it will work out nicely...

I love the color on the ridge. Awesome new set up. You're not turning into a mini GreggS are you?
It would be difficult to become a "mini GreggS" b/c I ride what I build... :blah: Gregg is very sophisticated collecter... :)

Thanks for the complements guys. One thing I forgot to mention above is that the bb shell is sealed off so water from the seat tube can't get into the bb. I've never seen this before, thought it was a good idea...

Yeah, I had to run a small 1mm spacer underneath the rear caliper to clear the rotor. The front was fine. I like them even though they were warped right out of the box. Nothing a little "persuasion" couldn't fix though...

Nice ,looks very clean!Did you have to pay extra for the black bashguard?
I bought a supercharger kit a while back in black, also smaller diameter than the stock srs bash guard. You can buy them in different colors I believe.

A preliminary ride report reveals that this is a great setup. It reminds me a lot of my old morphine/monster combo except much lighter and "flickable". I still have the same confidence on hucks and drops even though I'm running much smaller tires than before (was running 2.8 mich fr and 3.0x24 gazzi rr, now 2.5 minions fr and rr). So far, I like it very much and look forward to putting some real mountain miles on it.

They should be doing that with all the bikes. From every brand. It is nort so difficult i think.

But how did they do that at Sinister, put a plate in orso.??

I haven't exactly figured out how they did it. There are no plates welded in. The bb shell was never drilled...I dunno???

Mabey they have put some pur-foam in it.

I think you say it that way to. It is known to fill up spaces very good.
