They're phasing it out?

Well, at least it means more standarization...but I'm shocked you can't get a new Supercharger in 5/94 anymore...you can't, really? You can just buy the STS and find a used supercharger and sell off the new 4/104 bash, possibly, or use a different bashguard. If you can find the E13, it should outlast the cranks for sure.

Rings should be available for a long time, though...places machine custom rings all the time. Warhawk and the like...as long as you don't require shift ramps, you should be fine.

Of the 3 types out there somethin had to go.
First there was 5/110 that was around since the 70's in BMX.
Then ****mano came up with Compact drive(5/94) so we could have 22,32t rings.
Then 2 years later they realized they could cut cost and weight by replacing that heavy 5th chainring bolt!
So according to 'The World According To Shimano' the 5/94 was defunct.(since 110 was still being used on 952 XTR,which is dead now too)
So smaller mfg"s chose the most popular 4/104 to be the standard too.
For a retailer like us it's nice to have some sort of a standard, even though 5/94 is probaby the best system since it fits a 22 and has 5 bolts to keep the rings from bending on a log!

E13 provides plenty of 5/94 still though!!!
RF is only making 4/104 on new cranks, but never made the North Shore in it.

oh you mean Sh!tmano... that works right. I think they do it to keep their jobs. Glad SRAM bought Truvativ so they can go head 2 head with those guys in Japan.

Just 'cuz it's on a website doesn't make it so...but wys, I'd contact go-ride, since Krispy seems to know where you can get 5/94 E13s.

Sorry guys, As the industry trend is going 5-94 is dissapearing and demand for that stuff has dropped way down. It will no longer be carried in the e.13 lineup. The 5-94 shelves have been bought out entirely from our inventory but some shops and distributors have it in stock but I dont expect it to really be around for very long so If you think you will be needing anything in that pattern Id say buy it now while it still exists somewhere.

Yup, just to add to what Heikki and Krispy said, BTI and QBP have a good amount of 5-94 in stock.

Over the summer, we talked a lot with the major crank manufacturers. Almost all of them are dropping 5-94 on high strength product for 2005. We hoped this would happen for several reasons, from product development to inventory. Its a good thing too. Dropping over almost 100 SKUs from our database of product allows us to move forward with some other variations. It will be cool for sure I think.

I just recently bought a new 44-special 5/94 SRS on ebay for $51. A screaming deal, I just have to get new a bash, compatible to the e13 crown chainring (5/110)...when will the new supercharger colors be available?

*spam* pm me if you want the 5/94 one, I'll let it go for cheap...I live in scandinavia though  *spam*

so that means XC stuff will still be available in 5/94, right?
