The latest in white trash news...

AP said:
EASTON, Pa. – The father of 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, denied a birthday cake with the child's full name on it by one New Jersey supermarket, is asking for a little tolerance. Heath Campbell and his wife, Deborah, are upset not only with the decision made by the Greenwich ShopRite, but with an outpouring of angry Internet postings in response to a local newspaper article over the weekend on their flare-up over frosting.

"I think people need to take their heads out of the cloud they've been in and start focusing on the future and not on the past," Heath Campbell said Tuesday in an interview conducted in Easton, on the other side of the Delaware River from where the family lives in Hunterdon County, N.J.

"There's a new president and he says it's time for a change; well, then it's time for a change," the 35-year-old continued. "They need to accept a name. A name's a name. The kid isn't going to grow up and do what (Hitler) did."

Deborah Campbell, 25, said she phoned in her order last week to the ShopRite. When she told the bakery department she wanted her son's name spelled out, she was told to talk to a supervisor, who denied the request.

Karen Meleta, a spokeswoman for ShopRite, said the Campbells had similar requests denied at the same store the last two years and said Heath Campbell previously had asked for a swastika to be included in the decoration.

"We reserve the right not to print anything on the cake that we deem to be inappropriate," Meleta said. "We considered this inappropriate."

The Campbells ultimately got their cake decorated at a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania, Deborah Campbell said. About 12 people attended the birthday party on Sunday, including several children who were of mixed race, according to Heath Campbell.

"If we're so racist, then why would I have them come into my home?" he asked.

The Campbells' other two children also have unusual names: JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell turns 2 in a few months and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell will be 1 in April.

Heath Campbell said he named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because "no one else in the world would have that name." He sounded surprised by all the controversy the dispute had generated.

Campbell said his ancestors are German and that he has lived his entire life in Hunterdon County. On Tuesday he wore a pair of black boots he said were worn by a German soldier during World War II.

He said he was raised not to avoid people of other races but not to mix with them socially or romantically. But he said he would try to raise his children differently.

"Say he grows up and hangs out with black people. That's fine, I don't really care," he said. "That's his choice."

That movie has some seriously funny scenes...

a'Mi scuzi!
No doubt. I start laughing every time I think about that scene w/ the little Hitler...

Eurotrip and Beerfest would make for quite the double feature.

Plenty of non-racist people like to have the swastika on their kids' birthday cakes....it's just common sense.:clapping:

they're local to this area (Lehigh Valley). See, even in the North we have trailer trash!

But then again, they do decorate cakes in Easton for all those parents that moved here from NYC and named their kid Jesus

That isn't the Swastika though, its much older and goes in both directions depending on the meaning. Its found in many different cultures.

It was a swastika when Germany was a bunch of tribes, Hitler just hijacked it.

I was responding to 1453, and pointing out that the swastika isn't necessarily a racist symbol
That isn't a swastika, its a manji and its going in the opposite direction. The family in the article is blatantly racist and is using their child like a poster. They don't deserve to have a kid since they are setting him up for a lifetime of abuse.

So if someone in your office said "There was some leftover cake from a birthday, it's i the kitchen" would you take some after you see the name?

It is cake, after all.

dude, give it a rest, we all know where the swastika comes from.

So would you put a swastika on your kid's birthday cake knowing what it means to most people in this country who have heard of the Holocaust, and the extermination of Gypsies and gays in German occupied areas.?

Good job on knowing where the symbol came from, but guess what? you are still a petty troll that doesn't ride a bike.:bonk:

Remember 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell?

A simple request for a name on a three year old's birthday cake has caused a controversy because of the person who he is named after.

He’s the little boy whose name was the center of an international firestorm last December after a Greenwich, N.J. supermarket refused to write his name on a birthday cake. The store said it was inappropriate and refused to give an apology after the parents demanded one.

Adolf and his two sisters -- one-year-old JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and 8-month-old Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell -- were removed from their parents’ home Tuesday night by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services, Holland Township police chief David Van Gilson told LehighValleyLive.com.

It is unclear why the children were removed from their parent’s home. Gilson said his department did not receive any reports of abuse or negligence.

Heath and Deborah Campbell, the children's parents, were scheduled to appear for an undisclosed hearing Tuesday, but it was postponed, according to the web site.

Calls to the children’s parents were met with a message that the line had been temporarily disconnected.

what's the matter, you've been so silent for a swastika expert. Did you put up a swastika outside of your home lately since it has such a rich history as you cleverly pointed out? Did you put a swastika on your kid's cake since it is a symbol of peace?:clapping:
Which one is it, am I a nazi or full of white guilt? You've called me both, but unless I have some serious cognitive dissonance going on, I'm either one or the other

Sounded more like they took the kids because of domestic violence - they were white trash.

I'm confused, I never called you a Nazi, just a swastika expert. and here is why:

Plenty of non-racist people like to have the swastika on their kids' birthday cakes....it's just common sense.:clapping:

since you said that the swastika isn't always a racist symbol, I would love to see how you use it publicly in a context that demonstrates that fact.

You are just a troll, so I expect you to say anything just to provoke a response.

(and it wasn't uncommon for Nazis to feel white guilt after a while, like the members of the Einsatzgruppen during WWII after months of killing partisans, Jews, Gypsies and various other non-white groups in the Soviet Union).

Which one is it, am I a nazi or full of white guilt? You've called me both, but unless I have some serious cognitive dissonance going on, I'm either one or the other

Are you serious? The Swastika is a 3000+ year old religious symbol spanning ancient egyptian, indian and even chinese cultures. I'd hazzard a guess to say that it has been used as a positive symbol a whole hell of a lot more than it has been as a negative symbol since it was taken hostage by the 3rd Reich.

As an aside, it has been used both clockwise and counter clockwise over history, and was almost always used as a positive symbol. The whole one way means one thing and the other way means another is a recent idea, and not historically accurate.
