i think im bad luck...heres why.
during our riding session at bromont today we came across the jump that was left over from the world masters race last weekend only it had been groomed by some of the locals since last week. it was primo, and long as hell. we both hit it once and miss the landing by about 10 feet apiece.
second time around all the locals had returned armed with video cameras and digi. my kodak courage kicked in and i launced the jump. landing 40 something feet later safe and sound. my buddy however wasn't so lucky. he took to much speed, over shot lthe tranny head over heels on his head and right shoulder. dazed and confused we sorted him out and a short time later with the help of the medical staff at the hill i was on the way to the hopsital with him just about ready to pass out in the passenger seat. a bunch of waiting a round and some time to practice my wheel chair skills later the diagnosis: broken collar bone. how ever this is not the point of the story
rewind to last week. me and the guy mentioned above and my friend sean are sessioning the dirt jumps next to the local BMX track. nearing the end of the day he tried to nail the third jump in a really poor and awkward set and landed front wheel first, also gettin shot of the bars. i follow him in his car to the hospital diagnosis: broken collar bone....again.
im gunna start calling myself an ambulance to get the special priviledges, becuase it seems as though everytime i go riding somone breaks a collar bone and i end up taking them to the hosptial. i must be bad luck or something. no one is going to wanna ride with me any more.
