My neighbor is a genius. Got the dent out clean with a hammer and 2x4. Also got everything but above the doors all sanded flush, no more lettering.

<edit> it also no longer says Aaron's on the hood finally. What a bitch that was. Just the spot above the door needs a little more sanding and she's ready for a real paint job

Decided we wanted to change from our truck camper, so it's sold. Going to hopefully get a van instead, need to sell our pickup first.

Amazing the difference to fuel economy without the camper on the back of the pickup though, 13.5mpg > 19.5mpg

We decided we wanted something instead where we could travel with more than one bike each and have them stored securely if we wanted to do/go somewhere not riding, e.g. a hike or fishing while on a trip.

We are getting 18mpg so far with constant head wind coming west. We usually hover around 19mpg.

What are you doing re garage clearance
Should just fit with just a fan, might have to fit a compressor and lower the tyres to 5psi :D

It means no AC, which doesn't bother me as those need shore power to be useful.

I can't help but compare that sprinter listed above with this one listed locally.
$19k (NZD) Vs $120k USD
Yeah it's not as nice, but the price difference!!!!!

You're not even going to buy a running rv/camping vehicle for $12k USD over here.

*or even a bare van

My new camper is several hundred pounds heavier than my old camper so the suspension squats jus a little bit more. Compound that with all the rain the past winter is swelling the soil under the sidewalk raising it up. My side yard driveway isn't sloped to the street so we always used wedges at the curb. When I have the hitch extension on the end roller always drags due to the high crown in the street. I would cost 1000s to make the side yard access sloped like the main driveway. This was my $35 fix 2 10 foot 2x10s cut into thirds and screwed together, with handles to make it easy to move Now the extension is clear of the sidewalk backing into the side yard or pulling out into the street.

I still seem to have air in the lines, so she still isn't running. Jegs updated my shipping to Thursday, so I hit NAP and got 4 feet of 3/8, 4 feet of 1/4 and ran new from the frame to the tank so I can get it out of here. I will replace the rest next weekend when Jegs delivers. I used heavy duty 29er tubes for the straps.

Weight of my camper was ~1425lb when the 20 gallon fresh water was filled, nothing else added.
Sticker payload on my pickup was ~2100lb (tailgate removed probably added close to another 100lb on that, ~2200)

Figure if my wife and I fully loaded it up with supplies, dog, bike rack, two bikes we probably added 600lb into the vehicle, so just over 2000lb.

Guy who bought my camper didn't want our pickup, he bought a new Tundra. My glancing at specs suggests a 1575-1700lb payload limit is likely. GLWT.

Cost me $200 to get the truck running, just did a fuel system bleed and she's good. But the drive line is another story. $1200 for a full drive line rebuild with u joints, carrier bearing and rebalance. But she gets a new shaft seal that was leaking, too, so that's nice.

They also gave me a list of shit I will either fix myself or bring back for them to. Ugh.

Sometimes you just have to make it happen. Adapt, improvise, overcome.
New hitch installed and you find out your old rear tie downs are not compatible. and you are leaving on a fishing trip in 2 days Call around out of luck. Call Torklift They had a set of Steel rear tiedowns that will fit. got them overnighted. Yay. Mounting was a piece of cake to the 30k Magnum, then I saw it Someone has one simple job and they blew it . The two parts of the mount are held together with a pin that goes through a 4 pieces in a straight line. The outer piece was fine the part that bolts to the hitch was drilled on adjacent sides not opposite sides. DOH. 10 minutes with a drill fixed that but jeeze.
Camper is loaded on the truck, Kayaks are on the camper, fishing gear loaded. all that's left is food, beer and clothing to get loaded. Off to the lake we go after finishing work tomorrow
big thanks to Corey for jamming over here to help me load the two Kayaks

In the bathroom, fighting a battle
Yes but also no.

They’re generally two hole faucets where home bathroom sinks are 3. Assuming you can find what you want in a 2 hole, then yeah, same same. I found a couple options that were listed ans wet bar fixtures. After that just make sure you know what size line you’re working with like Eric mentioned.

I've had similar experience once, ordered an optic for my rifle and screws didn't align at all. Had to return it in the end and get a fresh one from an online gun store since I couldn't shimmy it to fit...
Honestly, that's next lvl. Who in the world would look at the hitch and be like "yeah, I'm gonna drill 2 holes, but not on the opposite side :D

Where did you go kayaking btw? Thinking I might try something like kayaking into camping into kayaking the next day. Local outdoor stores https://gritroutdoors.com/ has some waterproof bags so probably should get myself 1 or 2 :D

Does anyone know if faucets (sink) are generally the same standard size as home models, or are RV faucets smaller?
TIA
I replaced the kitchen faucet in our camper with one from Home Depot. Went in no problem.

Swapped it out in their parking lot in case I needed anything during installation, cause that's just how plumbing projects go.
