Well I am 6'4" and it works great for me. It really is best for solo stuff. I just sleep in the back with my bikes. I suppose a weekend with just my wife and I would be fine, but that would mean no bikes and no kids.

As a former Tacoma owner I can attest that they are great when at or near stock, but it’s gonna be a dog with awful MPGs otherwise.

No, I'm using an Arduino. For this purpose I'm dealing with a couple of systems. I installed a Trimetric TM2030 battery monitor, which keeps track of charge state. It makes available a 2400 baud serial data stream of characters, e.g. PW=100,AH=0.45,T%=100,W=1.23,DSC=0.00,DSE=103,PW=100,r%=127,pD=-16.8,V=13.7,FV=13.7,V2=00.0,A=0.09,X=28A,FA=0.09,
I use an Arduino MEGA 2560 to receive, decode, and store timestamped received data in a text file on a micro SD card, and use Excel or Weka for data analysis. The receive/decode effort took me about a month and a half, starting in mid-August. I wound up writing about 600 lines of C++, and the logger is now stable and reliable.
So, last year we had free indoor storage, total score. We had the axles flipped this spring, and we thought for sure that meant it wouldn't fit anymore...tried it yesterday, and it still fits!

Gnuplot kills. Most professional plots I've ever created. Syntax is pretty simple and super easy to automate in anything that can do command line calls. I've used it in LabVIEW and C. I usually send it to JPGs I can insert in reports, but there are tons of other output options.

- Repair one jack mount -- I clipped a pole with the right rear camper jack (corner mounted jobby) and it ripped the lag bolts out of one side. It still hangs on, but I'll need to repair those lag bolts... somehow. Thinking some sort of fill epoxy + longer lag screws would do it. Suggestions welcome.
- Modify / reinforce all jack mounts. Basically, these things are just lag bolted to the corners of the camper like yeay. Idea is to weld on some angle iron to the corner mount which makes a "basket" sort of thing and supports the camper from below, taking some stress off the lag bolts. I'll need to decide if this is what I'm gonna do BEFORE just plowing longer lag bolts in to the broken one (see above).
- Rip out shitty carpeting previous owner installed over the top of old shitty linoleum. Then rip out old shitty linoleum. Replace with some sort of better, newer flooring.
- Fix the front driver's corner... this could be done in conjunction with modifying the jack mounts. Basically, the bottom corner of the front driver bit has come loose and is hanging down about 1/2" or so. Need to poke around and see if it's super rotted and needs to be replaced, or is I can flood it with some sort of fill epoxy and screw it / glue it back in place.
- Build a sweet-ass sliding platform to sit our 65 quart Engel cooler on. Something like this right here but you know... DIY and whatnot. Actually this wouldn't get done today, but I could certainly plot out the space for it, do some measuring, and get the drawer pulls ordered. This project in conjunction with...
- Demo old fridge shroud, then build out new countertop with a bit of storage underneath and a new place for battery to be located. This could be done today, and is a separate project then #5 because I'd have to build this first anyways to make the space for the cooler slider.
- Figure out how to hang curtains more better. Old owner just stuck velcro to everything, and it sucks. The velcro that's stuck to the curtains, doesn't stick. So I could keep the velcro and just sew it to the curtains, or figure out a different way that involves being an adult.
- Fix/replace/eeeehhhh? the table. It's old, it's wobbly, we don't use it because if it's in there it's in the way. Something like yeay would be mo'bettah.
- Install front Torklift tiedowns, remove wacky bedside mounted front tiedowns.
