NORCAL is the hizzle
I'm hoping to head up to Tahoe this weekend with my non-riding girlie and hope to camp someplace relatively close to Northstar so I can ride during the day. Any thoughts?

I've done a little research and have found a few lists but it's tough to make a call without knowing more.

Here's one:

I know it's last minute and I might be out of luck but any help is appreciated.

You guys want somewhere nice and secluded or an "official" lavaratory included (likely crowded) campground?

If you don't care about being at the lake, that sagehen one is in a nice spot. The martis one is in view of Northstar. Most of the ones listed "on the lake" are on a crowded highway that will probably be annoying. Look at a map for "Watson Lake" There's no water but it's a nice lake that you can pedal to northstar from in the morning (not up hill) and then ride there at the end of the day as well. You can also walk about a mile or two and get some awesome lake views. PM me if you want.
