Does anyone know of any good tent camp sites in Norcal? Probably Redding area? We are leaving bend today and want to stop about half way to monterey to make it an easy day.

Shasta lake is the place to go. Its like 15 minutes north of redding. If your on I5 you will drive right over it. I dont know spots specificly but there are a bunch. Kinda cold this time of year.
Make sure to wear shades on the back of your head... cougars are less likely to maul you if they think your looking that them.

Look for any dirt road between bend and shasta.
There's a big world out there. Unless of course 'camping' to you means plumbing, kiddie pools and big RVs with generators. All kinds of stuff just outside the town of shasta.
