Cool stuff, thanks for the post. It will be quite a while before I jump on this electronic stuff whenever it becomes available but it's definitely interesting to see it develop.

Also seems to make sense for mtb, mainly because cable contamination becomes non-issue with the electronic stuff.

You don't want to change batteries during a road race? It would be cool if the system was partnered with a crank that generated power to charge the battery while riding, then the system would be self contained
