I don't need any frills or bells and whistles because I'm sure that I wouldn't know what to do with them anyways.....

After installing (and uninstalling) several programs today, I'm asking you guys....

Think idiot proof......zero bells and whistles (but freeware). I had just what I needed a couple years ago, but I didn't write down the name...doh!!

Links would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

gFTP works well. I've been using it for a while now and it works well with Linux and Windows ftp servers.

IE sucks enough as a browser, I wouldn't even consider trying ftp...

are you using a mac or a pc. if you are using a mac throw down the $30 for transmit (panic.com) I use it to sent photos in for class daily and it works awsome also very simple to use. Also if you are getting ftp for college some of them require you to use speciffic ftp programs so you may be s.o.l.

file transfer protocol is what it stands for I believe.

for freeware on a Mac use Fugu and if you are paying use Transmit, it's like Fugu but way less glitchy.
