Well, looks like the press is already onto this topic, now that the ink is on the debt paperwork.

WASHINGTON — After dealing with the debt crisis, Senate negotiators tried and failed Tuesday to end a stalemate over temporary funding for the Federal Aviation Administration, leaving 4,000 F.A.A. employees out of work and relying on airport safety inspectors to continue working without pay.
Ok, start flapping your e-gums.

I see this ending well. Don't worry, the TSA will save us!
Don't confuse airport sexual harassment with airplane safety.

And why would you deny the Congress their August vacation to worry about one tiny sub-department of the Transportation Department???

They have to go home and crow about how they saved us regular ol' 'Mericans!

Riding past the morgue.
I worked an airplane first thing this morning that the crew had their knickers all in a twist because a Fed was "riding along", and earlier in the week we had a couple airplanes grounded for paperwork "issues" by the feds. For guys who aren't getting paid they sure are working pretty hard this week.
