apparently there is an offset issue with my current wheels so I am having to take the ones that came in with the bike. Is the rear triangle built off center and the wheel then built offset on the hub to keep it straight or what?

Are your wheels dishless? Or dished for a certain bike, like a v10 or something. Thats probably your issue.
