The road deaths per capita is actually really interesting. When you look at the whole world’s data (those who collect it anyway), unfortunately the US is still really bad. Only Georgia is worse, and the US, Russia and Georgia are in a little league of their own around the 120 per million mark.
Then comes in Kazakstan, who are actually doing an amazing job in the few years they’ve recorded these stats, down from the 250s to just over a hundred. Then there’s all the failed states, in the 90s, 80s, before you hit the modern advanced economies in the sixties (NZ is 60, we have some dangerous ass roads) and then down through exactly what you’d expect, the high tax, high standard of living countries, Western Europe mostly in the 40 through 20s, the Scandinavians of course are high, and at the top spot is Norway with 17. Fully five and a bit times safer than the US.

Love Putin's mini pogrom against the ostentatious display of wealth in a cratering economy.
Wonder if he is going to sell his watch collection?

And one of the funny things is all the Rubes up in arms over our new Ranked Choice voting.

The idiots don't even understand it. The point is that to get elected here, you need more than 50% of the vote. So if your candidate doesn't win that outright, it gives you a HIGHER chance of meeting that, by harvesting votes for 2nd and 3rd choices. But math is hard.

I did write in Santa Claus as my 3rd choice: https://www.santaclausforalaska.com/
