Just curious....do any of you :monkey:s possess skillz that aren't bike related?

I can decorate crazy cakes like the one I have attached that I just finished for a student's birthday party. Now, this might not seem that amazing, but anyone that has ever seem me attempt to "draw" can tell you that I really don't possess artistic ability, and yet, somehow I can turn an 11x14" sheet cake into this???

Wow...you definitely have some artistic skills with that, I've decorated (frosted) cakes and even just putting one color evenly and making it look nice is a b1tch. lol.

i can fold laundry like i worked at the gap. does that count? that student is extremely lucky to have a thoughtful hip fun teacher like you.

"do any of you monkies possess skillz that aren't bike related"....you're assuming we possess bike related skillz besides posting in a bike related forum. hehe.

Nice job on the cake decorating...usually when people make homemade cakes like that they turn out just a little odd looking...that's perfect.

I guess I'm a good artist, drawing, printmaking and things like that. Artistic ability runs in my family, but only my dad is really putting it to use. He's an architect, and does cartooning and stuff for some local papers. He's a really good artist. Unfortunately I don't do any of that stuff anymore. It was easier for me in school because I had access to awesome art supplies, presses, silk screen equipment etc. Now I just drink.

My sister is a really good artist as well, but now I guess she just boozes too, since she's in college.

What happened to us?.....Well, occasionally I'll bust something out for a friend, or when inspiration strikes, but mostly I just collect art prints now.

Holy Crap that Cake looks Delicious - but it is so well done - it would be a shame to eat it. Nah.....screw that - it would be great to dive into that cake!

can you do a Squidword Cake too? Maybe a Patrick Cake? Sandy the Squirrel? Yes I have two sons who are 8 and 5 (going on 6)! :)

I hate to fold laundry and i suck at it too - I have three laundry baskets full of unfolded clean clothes in my apartment right now........I just fish through em and find what I need.

Maybe I can send em down to you for folding and you can send em back up? ;)

Damn, TreeSaw -- AWESOME JOB!! You got skills there.
As for me...
I guess I can say I'm really good at my job. And I'm a 1/2way decent guitar player. And my head is a giant vault for useless trivia.*

* Useless unless I somehow end up playing "Strip Trivial Pursuit" with the Playboy Xtreme Team

Daaaang. That's an awsome cake. Mmmmm... caaaaaake....

As for me I tend to be a jack of most trades and master of a few. My main gig right now is leather work. I can make pretty much anything out of leather. I specialize in boots, shoes, medieval wares and bondage gear. :thumb:

I can also paint, draw, guitar, drums, computers, blah, blah, blah...
