[these pics have already been posted in my ride pics thread. sorry if you've already seen 'em ]
fresh from my first trip to canada this year, i ventured up again last week. here are the results.
gallery 1: north shore
gallery 2: whistler <-- note that these pics were taken on charlie's (Chuckwagon on RM) camera since mine died on the trip.
this one will probably be too dark for pc users, but looks ok with the mac's gamma. it's of ryan (eknomf on RM), shot by me:
another one of ryan, again shot by me. get the point that the north shore has lots of trees?
here is me doing a rolldown, shot by ryan. to get to this one had to climb _up_ (crazy canadians) a ladder, then up the face of this rock for a few feet. needless to say the rolldown was steeper than it looks as is always the case.
ok, that's it for the shore. see the gallery for more, but most are similar to the above and probably will look too dark to the pc-using masses ink: . we also ran into Jr_Bullit on the shore btw, but i didn't bring my camera with me that day.
now we move to whistler. here's charlie on schleyer, snapped by me:
this is an EXTREME CLOSEUP of me on clown shoes, shot by charlie. note that i have my brakes set up to engage at a point really close to the bar.
here's the end of clown shoes, of course. me on the bike, charlie on the shutter.
now for a few of other people. here's charlie going off the glc drop, with the somewhat distracting background of the glc itself visible as well. snapped by me.
this is an unusual angle of the same hip jump that you see in many whistler shots, up on original sin off the garbanzo lift. rider is charlie, shot by ryan.
finally, this is me getting small air but trying to be slightly stylish on that same jump. shot by ryan again.
as a parting treat (but not inline since it's gross!) i offer a picture of my palm after burning it on my brake rotor. dropping your glove (just one) off the lift, then crashing after a long downhill is no good. burn baby burn, note the hayes rotor pattern...
ok, i guess that's about it, see the galleries themselves for the rest of the pics.
