Being I live in canada, I see lots of nifty hockey related inventions. This week i came across some "equipment de-oderizer" spray. It has no scent. You spray it on funky gear, and in about 5 mins, there is absolutely NO SMELL left, and the crusty filth that makes your armor crunchy is gone.

I am thinking..wow, dainese reeks and you cannot properly wash it. I happen to sell alot of the damn stuff...maybe this stuff would be good to have in the store.

Fast forward to tonight...I applied it to my dainese, and now my dainese smells like...well, nothing. It is fantastic.

I am thinking of ordering a case of it from the distriobutor to try out, only it would be pricey as the cases are HUGE.

Retail would be $5.99 canadian..would anybody be interested in trying this stuff out? O r am I off in my ow
n little world?

If the smell is gone does that mean its clean?

I have now with succes had my Shuttle suit in the washer three times.
It means that the bacteria is gone, so in essence, yes it is clean. I usually rinse it witht he hose, and then dry it in the sun. SOmetimes i use zero. This stuff is much better rinse, apply and dry.

Dainese in the washer is a BAD idea. It will eventually come apart or get caught in there and tear. The same thing goes for most other brands as well, they arent the sturdiest things out there. They cant be strong, lightweight and well airated all at once.

Indeed...

In recent days, I have paid dearly for distractions that have diverted us from getting our place livable....I am now not allowed to leave home until we've unpacked. AND we jsut bought an air conditioner today. So I'm going to have to install that too....

I'll see what I can do.....

I just put my armor in the washing machine on gentle with some liquid tide and it comes out nice and clean. What the hell is coming outta your skin that you have to kill hardening bacteria with a disinfectant spray?!

salty sweat makes things icky, what can I say. And mine really does smell, i think it may have something to do with being like 4 years old though?

do they have "smell of Tim Horton's"?
Well, if Tim Horton smells like a migrant tobacco worker after a 14 hours in the fields in this southern heat and humidity, then I'd say yes.

Yeah, Permafunk will settle into your Dianese after a few years.
I had mine for 4. It was brutal.
You could take it out of the washing machine, and it would still part your hair.
Spraying Febreeze on it only seemed to anger it. :nope:

But yeah, I think everybody would be interested in something you can spray on your armor and not have to wash it.
