I have gotten along fine with S2s and S6s, so why not??? I have S2s on all of my road bikes and Julie's mountain bike. Cane Creek makes good stuff.
Yep, Cane Creeks new stuff is awesome.
And they are really cool to deal with as well.
I wanted to put an S6 on my DH bike, and they talked me out of it, and hooked me up with a Solos instead.
I have a Solos on my Sx as well, and it is super smooth.

Yup - I have ordered some small parts, reminding me to find the seals I have and put them with my headset tonight, and their cust service was great. They accidentally shipped the wrong race once, so they sent my 5 for the trouble. Really nice guys with pretty decent stuff. It ain't King and people will say they have broken it, but if it's kept tight and serviced, it will not ever be an issue. Especially on a road bike.
