The headtube will be a full 1.5seems like they made the downtube a little less curvy, cool.
but tapered headtube still? bah.
In that case, sign me up for one in raw with black graphics/links please. The headtube will be a full 1.5
Sweet!Anytime
im 5 11 as well, i ride a large, and i feel that its smaller than my other bikes, which are all mediums. That said, after spending more time on it, i really happen to like how it fits now, canfield will probably tell you medium, but i happen to like my large (which i THINK sells out the fastest, maybe for this reason?)What about sizing? I'm 5'11" and usually ride a medium; however, the medium Jedi geometry measures up like a small, IMHO. Thoughts?
Does that mean only 100 frames for 2011 or just for the first batch?Frames arriving in Mid March – Call to Pre-Order today – before they’re all gone! (Limited production of only 100 frame available.)
thats in in general, but it may be 100 per size, i would call and askJust saw this on the website:

Right now it's 100 total for the year, but Chris said they might looking into another 50 later on.Just saw this on the website:

So I haven't really been nearly as active in recent years on RM, but I want to the further the observation put forth by the Dorpmachine guy. He's right and his observation as well as Socket and his response about the pros of moving production overseas.Because the Taiwanese factories offer a lot more bang for your buck. Look at an Intense - they largely use monocoque and butted tubes with CNC'd links and dropouts, as far as I'm aware there is no forging or hydroforming, which are both expensive processes. Now check out a Legend for example, for about the same price you're getting hydroformed tubing, two-piece forged BB shell, a shock basement that's forged in 5 different parts, forged links, blah blah. Sure it's expensive, but given that the price is roughly the same as an Intense, you're actually getting a lot more construction technology in it. It's not cheaper, it's just better value.
Also, who cares about a damn rearward axle when there are waaay bigger things to consider and you're clearly just going to get some big money bike and flash around to people who could care less. How inane.
waiting away along with a few other buddies for various sizes....i'd assume bullcrew already has one of those XL's on lockdown. I would love to get one of these this year, hopefully by the time i get my finds together they will still be avaliable
Well to be honest, what else could i possibly do with my bike, its not like i can use it to race, nor win with it, you guys dont actually ride these do you?Ah, right, that was inner-speak. I just hate it when a topical and interesting discussion gets derailed by brand-whoring and techno-babble
I am also 5'10" and I have had 3 medium bikes from them.I never even really looked into it until now but ya the sizes seem to be a little smaller then other frames out there I'm 5'10 and like the feel of a smaller ride and always felt i bordered a M/L, but with the medium only having a 21.5 tt i would think that a large would be what i'd go with for sure, as the medium seems really small 21.5"", thats what my street hardtail has for a tt
I'd try to add to the dialogue instead of being the bike riding equivalent of Uggs.Well to be honest, what else could i possibly do with my bike, its not like i can use it to race, nor win with it, you guys dont actually ride these do you?
Hey, uggs are at least warm and well I know 1 girl who for some insane reason looks good in them. We were booth high though so that may have sth to do with my opinion.I'd try to add to the dialogue instead of being the bike riding equivalent of Uggs.
I talked to Chris and there was a mistake on their website, the medium has a 22.5" TT.I never even really looked into it until now but ya the sizes seem to be a little smaller then other frames out there I'm 5'10 and like the feel of a smaller ride and always felt i bordered a M/L, but with the medium only having a 21.5 tt i would think that a large would be what i'd go with for sure, as the medium seems really small 21.5"", thats what my street hardtail has for a tt
I would think the jedi will be the obvious choice, however, id like to know more about where your riding, your skill level, what you plan to do, ect.Does someone have any ride time on the 2011?
I am torn between the 2011 Jedi and 2011 Devinci Wilson, thoughts?
I've been riding DH since 1995, most of it in Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler.I would think the jedi will be the obvious choice, however, id like to know more about where your riding, your skill level, what you plan to do, ect.
The more we know, the more we can help you
