i got a powershot A520 for christmas and about 3 or 4 weeks ago the lens cover/shutter thing doesn't open all the way when i turn on the camera...and since i dont use the screen because it wears the batteries down so fast i dont realize that it's not opened all the way until i take a few pics and go to look at them...i tried cleaning them with a little bit of alcohol on a q-tip and it worked for a couple days then it started doin it again...i jus sent an e-mail to cannon but since it's past it's warrenty they prolly wont be able to do anything for free

as you can see here it ruind a perfectly good shamming on a passed out friend...she was acting like she was sticking a dildo (we bought it for her for her birthday) up is poopshoot but the camera messed that up

I have the A510 and it has the same problem. Just use your finger to lightly nudge the lens slider/cover thing, and it pops open all the way. A fingernail is all you really need to encourage it to open up, and things will be fine.

Is it possible to put a wide angle, fisheye, or telephoto lense on this camera?
