CANNONDALE NAMED OFFICIAL BIKE SPONSOR FOR HIGHLAND MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK
Posted on 12/16/2010

Snow may be falling in parts of the US, but mountain bike enthusiasts will be hoping for an early thaw as Cannondale has joined forces with the Highland Mountain Bike Park in Northfield, NH, becoming an official bike sponsor for 2011 and 2012. As part of this new relationship, consumers will be able to rent, test and experience innovative products from Cannondale, meet pro riders, and even receive free lift tickets at the Park with select bike purchases.

Visitors to Highland will enjoy many new enhancements and benefits with the new official partnership, including:

· “Find Your Ride” first-time lessons will be available for riders looking to test out Cannondale models before they purchase them;

· The resort’s Ayr academy classes with Cannondale athletes Aaron Chase and Chris Van Dine will be available to those looking to take their abilities to the next level; and,

· Marquee products from Cannondale such as the Claymore and Jekyll will be available to rent, further helping visitors experience the trails.

Cannondale Global Marketing Director Frank Hwang has enjoyed riding Highland Mountain Bike Park for years for its wide offering of amazing trails. Frank stated “we’re so excited to be a partner at Highland and offer visitors the next evolution of our mountain bikes. Highland Mountain Bike Park represents the best in Mountain Bike Park innovation and programming, and is an ideal match for Overmountain products like the Claymore and Jekyll”.

Highland is the only mountain bike exclusive lift-access bike park in the world and is home to the popular Cannondale sponsored Claymore Challenge. The premier event further solidifies the partnership’s commitment to the sport of mountain biking. The 2011 Claymore Challenge will be bigger and better than ever with a larger prize purse and new features.

There are also rumors that Highland is working with local land owners to establish a xc trail network. If that is the case the Jekyll would be nice bike to do both. Actually the Claymore would be good too with its 110/180 travel settings.

that would be pretty awesome...highland has a ton of potential for XC trails. Is there any further word on what's going on with maiden voyage? trail was decimated last time in favor of upper hellion....not that I minded too much, that trail was the worst on the hill, IMO.
