I'm currently torn between those bikes. The reason why I ask in this forum rather than is that my goal is to have the dh-performance of my sold Tues while at the same time not going overboard as I'm currently living in a rather urban and flat landscape. I will do trips to bikeparks though.

I would buy the Capra CF in a second if I had the money but I think I'll go for the AL but both might be too late for the summer.

The Votec and the Radon seem to be prettty similar and are immediately availabe but idk if the live up to the Capra (Votec seems to be a little worse in the uphill department while the Radon seems to be too linear). I also thought about giving the Jeffsy a go but I can't imagine that it will be half as good as a descender than the other bikes. Any other suggestions apart from "just wait till 29,5-tripleboost is the new standard"?

In 2500 EUR price range I would go with 2016 model of Merida One-Sixty. Especially now, when they introduced a new version for 2017 and the older model is super cheap.

I read a review once of that bike and I was not convinced. Also the 2017 Votec will have a metric sized shock but it looks like it will be more expensive. I wonder if its possible to get a metric shock into the 2016-model via the flipchip and offset bushings...

Well in the future I plan using a twin-tube shock like x2 or ccdb with a lock-out. To me it looks like they are only available in metric sizing...

You don't have the money for the bike you actually want and you're worrying about future shocks?

If it helps I haven't ridden my Capra up or downhill with the Monarch RTC3s compression adjuster (or the Lyrik's for that matter) in anything but full party mode ever and it climbs and accelerates just fine.
Capras'll take a 222mmx70mm coil too giving 170mm of DH(ish) performance if that's what you're striving for.

I started a new Job last week so the money should roll in by the end of the month. Its just that I don't want to spend 3k for a bike when I can have the same in aluminium for 2k.

Thanks for the input! The thing is that I want to keep my bikes for a seasons so its helps to have all the newest standards onboard because it really sucks trying to sell a bike that was already outdated when bought new.

Did you actually read the whole Radon thread you replied to?
I explained pretty clearly why I wouldn't buy that bike.

The suspension figures on the Votec looks pretty good at quick glance.
Of the bikes you can choose from I'd probably go Capra > Votec > Radon.

I didn't look at geometry, I'm sure you can decide on that stuff.

To the author of the thread: i am almost completely sure that you haven't heard of them, but they are a new bike company here in Bulgaria:

The enduro model is called RS and had a review already here in Bulgaria - the reviewer was amazed. We are waiting on several others from Germany to speak up about their thoughts regarding the bike, but whoever bought it already is also amazed. The owner is a mtber as well and is personally answering people's questions on forums/media. Regarding prices, i'm not sure if Pulse's are lower than Radon's or just the same. But it's a lot of bike for the price!

I like it.
I think the Reign is the current standard of "excellent" for most curves on a regular enduro bike (non-idler / gearbox / other crap that adds loads of weight), and the Conway is very close at least on the LR front. The other curves look OK to me too.

I've ridden that bike briefly and the guy who owned it (German) said it was considered a good bike for the price back home. He's a big guy so durability must be OK.

If the geometry and weight work for you I'd say go for it.

Yeah I planned buying it over a year ago but then I moved to a big city so I quit mtb for a while but I just need to not get fat so I think I'll give it a go in L and try to drive to the bikepark on the weekend...
