I'm still debating on whether or not I'll repaint my Addict CX, but in the meantime I have a small ship that appears to go through the paint and possibly to the carbon (carbon is not damaged). What should I use to repair the chip and protect the carbon fiber? Clear finger nail polish?

Automotive paint expoxy filler would be what a painter would use. Less volatile than nail polish, better fill... A little nailpolish over the bondo would be OK to make it look less bondo'd!
