what is the correct heartrate i should be shooting for. i dont wanna buy a heartrate moniter to figure out my target heartrate or whatever but i want to know how i can use the cardio machines at my gym correctly.

i usually go by rpms and levels. like on the eliptical i choose a good level where i stay around 70rpms consistently. this is level 13. is this a good way or no?

im gonna start using the stationary bike but how should i go about it? i want to get more cut.

im 19, 6', 185 lbs last time i check 11% body fat, it might be less now. ya i dunno if that info will help or not.

look up heart rate on the web. You can also use some of the various charts and forumlas out there to get a good approximation of where you need to be, and then just monitor your pulse manually.

k i found my resting rate to be 60 sitting here rightnow, i guess itll be different in the morning. then it says to excercise between 65% and 85% of my max heart rate. is this correct?

if i wanan burn fat, stay towards the 85% region?

and how long should i be doing cardio for? 20 or 30 minutes?
