Where do you work? It seems that everyone I deal with from up that way works or has worked at Kodak Park, and they are always hiring and firing in waves.
I'm at Xerox, the "other" big company in Rochester. Looks like I survived this one and so did the GF. I think we were both half hoping they would let us go... but it's nice to still have a paycheck.

Yeah! I got a 6-month severance package from a company that outsourced IT to IBM. I f**ked around for almost 6 full months after that one.

Severance would have been 60 days plus 1.5 weeks for every year of service. I would rather have it at the beginning of summer though.

Sounds stressful, i get laid off all the time with no severance, just a chinsy unemployment check. So i either go find side work or go ride alot, either way it's a nice change of pace. Lately it's been nonstop work so it would be nice for things to slow down, although i think of how grand life would be if i had severance everytime things slowed down for me...
