A lot of you are aware that we have had a new project i.e. downhill frame in development. The first batch is currently being finished as we speak, which will allow us to do some intensive testing over the next month, during which time final shock settings and specifications will be finalised.

And what’s so different about this new downhill frame?

Well we’re utilising the latest ideas in motorcycle chassis design and manufacture to produce a cast frame as opposed to the more ‘traditional’ welded tubes/extrusions. No more welds to fail! It’s certainly an idea that’s gaining favour with Yamaha, Honda, KTM etc.






15- 12-2006 Empire downhill frame prototype ready for testing

A handful of prototype Empire cast downhill bikes have just been built so that intensive product testing can take place over the winter period and into next year. So far this project has generated lots of interest and the bold look of the frame has been a hit with our customers. The previously released CAD drawings really do not do the frame justice - the engineering quality and detail that has gone into this frame has to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated.
