I have the RC220, Lead Acid Battery with a Rheostat for 5 and 10 watts. I want to know if I can buy a NiCad battery and just simply plug it in, instead of the Lead Acid.
Providing it's the same voltage, it should be fine. Maybe you should splash out a bit extra and go for NiMH, they seem much better in terms of longevity.
