Hi,

I'm working on suspension analysis and there's few things like anti-squat using de COG of the rider.

Even if the cog of the rider depend of the position, type of riding, and more... I was wondering what is an average centre of gravity height for downhill racing. I'm not very with human body proportion, so I've some difficulty to find my right cog in a pedaling position.

I've made some research about that, but with no result. So i guess an average cog would be around 1000mm and 1100mm.

What do you think about it?

thanks

this is just a guess based on my life of athletic nonsense (many sports, including some which involved running and cutting, played on wet and slippery fields), but I'd wager the human COG is somewhere around the belly-button, and more precisely, the middle of the abdomen right between the widest point of the hips/pelvic basin.

or maybe an inch or so below that (toward the ground)

I've been thinking about writing my own Human Body CoM calculator for the last 2 weeks but still haven't had enough time. I plan to use this chart of human body segment parameters.
