First of all, I have to place my order via Jensonusa.com because they'll let me place the order online & then send a USPS money order for the goods - nobody else I know will do that. Jensonusa.com doesn't seem to stock SRAM chains, so, instead of getting the SRAM PC99 chain, would the Shimano XT 9 speed chain be that much worse?

As far as the XT BB & XT crankset goes, the '03 BB's aren't available in the size recommended: 118 length x 73, so should I just go ahead & get the 113 x 73 instead, or just go with the '02 XT BB (& '02 XT cranks) which is available in the 118 x 73 size?

Is 5mm on the crank (2.5mm on each side) going to make a difference?
