I want to get rid od the front derailer and install a single sproket for my DS bike. I plan on puttin on a Mr,Dirtz or an Ultra Speed chainguide. My question is do i need to buy a new BB to allow for more length from the chainguide. I've never done this b4 so any help will be appreciated. thanks, JR.

P.S. If anyone also knows of a place to get a good deal on the chainguides that i mentioned, I'll be your freind 4 ever:D

Most backing plates for chain guides are about 4mm thick so you should be able to get away with your current bb.Just make sure the bb is tight when you install the guide or it'll spin round and cause all sorts of problems.Apart from that just follow the instructions you get with the guide.
Hope this helps.
