Okay so I got my Surly 20T cog the other night and this afternoon I finished the build on my Zion 853 96er single speed project bike.
Here's the problem I ran into though. I have the bike set up 34:20 and I'm using a PC48 chain. I thought I could have gotten a a real tight chainline set up but when push comes to shove I could not get the two links I thought would fit together to fit. So I then had to add a link and then a powerlink to get everything put together. Well adding those two links then made my chain kinda too slack. CRAP!
I'll get some pics up soon, but anyone got any advice? I think if I took out those two links I added, and then maybe added a half link - I'd be golden. But can you get a half link for an 8 speed chain?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
