I need a 46T chainring for an XT crankset, is it possible ?

If so, where can I get one ?

Will the derailleur handle the upshift/downshift from 46T to 32T middle ring ?

What bolt pattern should I be looking at ?

BTW, I'm not sure which model XT crankset (M???), whatever comes with the '05 Trek 8500. I don't even know if this makes a difference or not.

Thanks !

Why a 46T??? Thats nuts when you consider most DH bikes are 38-42T. Any 4-bolt ring will work, but not well. The derr is intended to handle a smaller ring so you will end up with rubbing in some gears.

Why 46T?? It's a fast course and Im spinning out with the 44T.

XTR works fine with a 46T, but I think the middle ring is 34T, not 32T.

What's the bolt pattern for the XT crankset ?

Thanks again.
