History: rear wheel is 7 years old, about 20,000 miles ridden.

What happened:

What the chances I get a new rim out of Mavic?

I was Just Riding Along, and I hear something caught in my spokes. I stop and look down, and I see part of my rim stuck in my cassette.

I had to remove the nipple before I could pull off the eyelet, then I rode very gently for another 5 miles to the train.

This wheel was so toasted, when I removed the rim tape, half the eyelets came off with the tape.

I've been retruing this wheel every 300-400 miles, which is about every month, so I've been thinking to myself, when am I going to rebuild this wheel.

I guess I have my reason now.

There is no warranty. They are French how could they make a mistake.
