Aug 15th my wife and I are moving to charlottesville and I would like to know if there is a downhill/freeride scene in that town. And if there isn't, then how far will I have to drive in order to get to some good riding? Also, can anyone help me find a dh group to ride with? Thanks for any info you can share with me and I look forward to riding in your State.

Try searching this topic, it's been brought up a lot. Summary: no DH scene; it's an hour drive West to the GWF and some possible shuttle runs. 3 hours to Snowshoe.
