Drunk off his ass would be my guess. Kind of like the time my old man laid low after an extra beer and a fender bender...

Any other guesses?

I think the answer is simple... a news reporter broke the story. If he hadn't, we'd never have heard about it.

You don't think the elite actually report such stuff voluntarily, do ya?

It may be tough to explain that to the doctor.

"He shot himself...from 30 feet away. Honest. What, you don't believe the Vice President of the United States? Go **** yourself!"

Looks like he didn't have the correct license to hunt quail. Dunno how serious that is in reality but he should probably be sent to prison for 30 years just because he's a c*nt.;)

Boston....outside of it....
I heard on the news here that the owner of the ranch went to the press about it.

We were sitting around watching the toob....when a newsflash came up "Cheney shot someone"....

and we were like ....... WHAAAAAAAAA? No Way!

We had to stay on the same channel to see if we heard it correctly...
then we watched the news....

which kinda sucked because the first 25 minutes were about the huge friggin blizzard in DC (6 inches maybe?), then the last 2 minutes were of Cheney shooting someone.. FOX news, go figure.

Yeah he shot someone with a 28 gauge shotgun shooting a light bird load.....it sounds like the "typical" hunting accident.

My question was not the accident itself but the "time gap" that the press had a cow about yesterday at the White House briefing.......are they (the press) making a mountain out of a mole hill or is their gripe valid?

i don't really see what the fuss is about. there was a poll on the local news...something like "was there too much of a delay in reporting the incident..." and 35% of the people voted "yes." why do people care that much? more importantly, who cares that much? it's not like Whittington was mutilated by a sawed off shot gun.

Why do people care and why care about the delay?

Simple, they're elected public figures, they're supposed to set an example for their citizens to follow, and should be honorable people.

Obviously this isn't the case and it's just another in a long line of questionable actions and thinking they're above the law.

Agree with the pie eater here. London to a brick on the delay was caused by party apparatchiks desperately thinking up ways to put a positive spin on this. Reason #956 to hate politics.

It might be the fact that it was a local news station/paper that broke the story and the White House press corps got it second hand/were not the first ones to break it.

H8R's panty debuncher might be in order.

i think it's more along the lines of people needing some reason to belittle elected officials on a daily basis.

mountain out of a molehill, yes.

seriouly? We wouldn't belittle them if they weren't so crooked. Seems like 99% of all elections is choosing the less slimy 'tard.
