so I have been living in Chicago for about a month now. I am going to school, and am living down in the loop. Wasn't sure if anyone on this forum is from Chicago, but if so I would be interested in doing some riding, and taking some photos before it gets cold. Are there any trails or dirt jumps. I am living down on 800 South and Michigan Area.

youve been living here for a month and have yet to run into anyone on their bikes, odd. Anyways theres a pretty big scene in chicago, and dont worry theres no rush to get a last ride in before the cold, we ride through winter here. My cell phone number is 630-333-5291, give me a call sometime this week and i'll tell ya where and when to show up for a ride

Don

Hey

Im also from Chicago, but I live in the subarbs of Palos Heights. There is also ViolentVonte(sp) from the board, he a little farther. Not shure what kind of riding you are looking for. But if you call our bike shop 708-448-4601, and ask for Mike G he can tell you when are next ride is. The trails are around here are some nice single track, nothing extreme but good riding for shure. Diffently for a ride out for. Also if you havent check out Challenge Park do so because thats the only thing worth getting padded up for around here.

Fraser, no definitely didn't go to NYU, I wouldn't be able to afford it, and I probably didn't have the grades to get in anyway. I am going to Columbia College, but am actually changing my major from film to photography. I think I am actually going to be going to school in Vancouver next year because of how much cheaper it is. Both my Step Mom and Step Dad are Canadian citizens so I can get in through them. Don, thanks very much for the number, I will give you a call. When is the next time you and your crew are going out, I only have my hardtail with me, so I hope that will work. Jade.

Are you heading to UBC or Simon Fraser? I have applications in to both for my PhD. I will most likely be at one of those 2, altho i also have apps in at Columbia, Harvard and CU Boulder. UBC has already accepted me, and I have possible funding there.

Why are you changing major to photography? Also, you are aware that canadian universities work MUCH differently right? You will lose probably half of your credits upon transfer..90 creds (3 years) to graduate etc..

BTw are you on aim or msn messenger or anything?

Sounds great, I look forward to the ride. I wasn't sure whether you guys ride in the winter or not. I know that it gets cold here, something I'm used to since I am from Vermont, but in Vermont we have no chance at all of riding in the winter because of the huge amount of snow we get. Also are there any indoor skate parks close by.

yes theres an indoor park in hoffman estates (by ohare kindof) that we will occasionally go to. If you dont have a car, you can usually hitch a ride with someone who does, and the blue line L-train will become your new friend when it comes to getting to dirt jumps
