WTF?????

ST. PETERS, Missouri (AP) -- A woman angry that her new puppy had died pushed her way into a dog breeder's home and repeatedly hit her on the head with the dead Chihuahua, authorities said.

The 33-year-old woman told police she had taken the puppy to a veterinarian, who said it was only 4 weeks old and needed to be returned to its mother. But before she could return the puppy, it died.

Early Wednesday, the woman went to the breeder's home, pushed her way inside and began fighting with the breeder as she tried to make her way to the basement to get another puppy, police said.

The breeder wrestled the woman out of her house to the front porch, where the woman then hit the breeder over the head numerous times with the dead puppy, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported, citing police.

As the woman drove away, she waved the dead puppy out of the car's sunroof and yelled threats at the breeder, police said. She later called the breeder and threatened her and her family, according to court records.

Police said they are considering felony burglary and misdemeanor assault charges against the woman.

In Europe, various breeds of Dog including the rat, sorry I mean Chihuahua were very nearly banned under animal cruelty laws. These animals have been bred to a point where they normally have congenital defects and often spend their lives suffering the consequences of these. I personally would back such a ban. People complain about the potential evils of genetic engineering, but completely ignore the suffering that is caused by selective breeding.

That creature used to be a fvcking wolf. Look what we've done to it. It can't even breathe properly.

i personally like to call them 'footballs'

I have two problems with this situation. The first obviously, is how the lady reacted when her puppy died. Thats plain nuts! She wanted this puppy so much, that she beat the breeder over the head with it. Not a lot of respect for a (once) living animal.

Second, what sort of dog breeder sells a 4 week old puppy? The breeder, of all people, should know when her puppies are ready to be sold, let alone be away from their mother. in my opinion both these people are not the brightest

Well, cows cant really run anymore, because they're bred to have tons of meat or milk. Some chickens cant walk and most cant fly, some dogs have trouble breathing. Boohoo. Cry me a river.

Cows are food. Dogs are companions.

Christ, look what selective breeding has done to WASPy New Englanders... poor things can't express emotion, and get heart-burn even thinking about food that doesn't start with "Gin-and..." Now THAT is cruelty.
