This was from this past Saturday. 220 mtb riders from around the country riding in a state park that is cooperative and appreciative to have mtbers.
Day one is 32 miles riding double track in a pretty remote section of Big Bend National Park. Scenic ride and fun to ride with others and enjoy just being on the bike in a very scenic setting. Ride ends at a hot spring on the Rio Grande’. You can roll out of the hot spring into the cold Rio into Mexico and enjoy the adult beverage of your choice. Day 2 is 30 miles of double and single track riding in the Lajita’s trails. Final days is 25 miles to 50 IMBA EPIC riding. It’s a great escape from winter weather for anyone (typical 30’s over night and upper 70’s during the day.) Next year if you get a chance you should try it out. Here are two short videos of the final days riding. The first ones is some of the boulder riding, easier and more fun than riding in the creek and then back to the trail head.
