Child obesity has doubled in a decade

I know schools aren't helping the problem with junk food and such, but I think seriously obese kids fault falls on parent's shoulders.

Obviously, putting parents in jail isn't an anwer, but what about mandatory parenting/proper nutrition classes? Then social services follows up periodically and either more classes or fines to parents for kids who don't have a medical reason for being insanely obese... and I don't mean chubby/fat kids, let's just start with obese children?

I know we all don't like too much govt involvement, but I put the question to you again... child obesity = abuse ?

Nothing I love seeing more than a 140 lb 8 year old in Wendy's. In some cases, obesity is genetic. In other cases, it comes from TV. I don't think child obesity is a sign of child abuse, but just plain old bad parenting, kind of like bratty kids.

Is it true that the continental USA is sinking due to the weight if its inhabitants?
Is it true that toothpaste sales in the UK remain almost non existant?

Saying the article is about the UK, I be more worried about the British isles going under than the US right now.
Saying? Is that the US spelling of seeing?

Anyway, I didn't waste time reading the article, I just fired off an uninformed comment from the hip. What do I care about fat people?

Clearly we're building up fat stores for the impending post-apocalyptic food shortage, when all you skinny euros in your tight pants will quickly die off.

Fat, or great strategic thinkers? That is the question I pose to you.

Nah, the Euros have the same fat asses as Americans, they are just shoved uncomfortably in those tight pants. If muffin top is a disease in the US, it's a down right epidemic in Europe.

And we don't have to watch you speaking with your mouth full.
My mouth full of pearly white teeth vs those snaggly, grey, stench emitting stalagtites of yours?

back to the thread, I've been thinking about this and I just read a similar article written by some pvssy b1tch which made me think-

Child abuse might be going a bit far, but I do think that having fat kids is a clear sign of poor parenting ability. I mean, if you can't even manage the diet of the actual fruit of your loins for a few years you really have no business having kids.

Boston....outside of it....
I was actually reading something lately where a bunch of moms were positively outraged that some nutritionist made kids (who were used to junk food, they had a junk food closet) eat tofu.

People were actually comparing the fact that the nutritionist made kids eat tofu and oatmeal to child abuse.

I'm just waiting for the lawsuits to pop up by the children.

You CAN smoke, but just not around your kids. It's a bit different to feeding them crap at every meal when they're too young to know otherwise.

What about cussing and making negative remarks about other races?
If I had kids, I would teach them that there is no such thing as a bad word. I am not superstitious and hopefully my kids wouldn't be either.

Although bigotry is just uncalled for.
