Yep, but at least we didn't make them go to Canberra this time.It looks like it was built in the 90s. Rough stuff but only right after a 90 degree come to a stop turn. Then just some switchbacks and bike park one line, one speed shit.
ick
To be fair, Aussies and Kiwis do make the top 10 fairly consistently. Might be worth giving us some local-ish rounds now and then, even if the only courses that meet UCI WC requirements aren't our best ones.they didn't want a second north america event (windham) because it was "too expensive". so they send the circus to australia instead.
As someone who has to be up at midnight on a Sunday night/Monday morning to watch most WCs - suck it up princess.I've suddenly discovered that I strongly dislike Australian WC's. 11:30pm start is going to be rough.
You realized this vid is from 2014 did you?this looks akward af:
just hope that the conditions get getter
Every cloud Son... Every cloud...11:30pm start is going to be rough.
yeah sure I just posted it becaus it would suck if it rains... also the track doesn't look very exciting...You realized this vid is from 2014 did you?
Oh, sorry, misunderstood you.yeah sure I just posted it becaus it would suck if it rains... also the track doesn't look very exciting...
I bet Mike Day or Jared Graves could win on that track.
Hmmm, don't think so.
Maybe the solution to become faster through the whoops is to become a professional WC racer.Man, the professional WC racers sure go a lot faster through the whoops than I do.
Floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee!Damn, Gwin is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast.
Yeah, he has a completely different style than anyone else through those sections. Crazy.Damn, Gwin is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast.
Ouch. I've ridden in that area myself, some epic trails... I can say it doesn't translate that well to video. One rock garden does not make a WC track....
Ugh.
I know racing is racing, but geeze what turd course to spectate the worlds best racers compete on.
Eh, the worlds best spectators will make up for it.One rock garden does not make a WC track....
Ugh.
I know racing is racing, but geeze what turd course to spectate the worlds best racers compete on.
Stevie Smith too. But what do they know?Ratboy seems to like it?
Hmmm, don't think so.
I like those turns. Yes they are not high speed but they do seem deep/high enough to be fun.Yeah, perhaps it doesn't translate well on film. That happens a lot, but those berms up top look like they were made for early 2000's wheelbase numbers. Maybe it will rain again and make it exciting to watch.
honestly can't tell if seriousberms up top look like they were made for early 2000's wheelbase numbers.
Maybe they are afraid of spiders.Only nine women listed in time training. Is that the entire women's field?
Anything in a rainforest will be hard to get good vantage points unfortunately. Brazil had the same issue from memory, with only a couple of open sections. Unfortunately, the open sections for good camera coverage are also the most pedestrian, so it ends up looking like a highway for the Redbull coverage depending on the number of cameras they use.I know racing is racing, but geeze what turd course to spectate the worlds best racers compete on.
