mini bmx with 20" wheels. I'm telling you it's the way to go.
I'm debating....but I am a little worried on the wheel strength for my little bruiser. He's a already riding down stairs and loves to "bash/crash/smash" into curbs.
I'll have to measure the mark on the wall at home.....

just buy them what looks cool ( cheapo box store stuff) until they are old enough to get a hotrock or something similar
kids care more what it looks like at that age than anything. and will destroy a bike in a year easy,
my daughter went through bikes in less than a year. now she is 13 and building her own.

For reference, Syd is 45" at 5 1/2 and riding a 16" bike comfortable with a little room to grow. She's already calling dibs on my bikes 'cause she thinks she's going to be taller than me soonI'll have to measure the mark on the wall at home.....

It's a great feeling. My son and I chased each other in circles for an hour last night on our bikes. So much fun!
It's an amazing feeling! I'll never forget our first ride around the neighborhood and our first trail ride.
