Clearly there is nothing better than a real, home made chili.
But, since that's not always convenient, I decided to try some jarred chili the other day. I picked up a jar of Bush's Homestyle Chili with Beans (hot). It was pretty damn good. Not as good as mine, but a very satisfactory replacement, and a good option for lunches at work.
Ingredients were good, consistency was good, spice was just right, flavor was 4 stars out of 5.
I recommend it.
Chunky brand Firehouse Chili (with beans) on the other hand is a poor excuse for a chili. It's like they took their ingredients, bathed them in bbq sauce, added some spice, and threw it in a microwaveable bowl.
