    I can get a used 06 Manitou Travis 203 for 270$ in very good condition... or a 06 888 for 300$


    thoughts?

    what version 888, what condition 888, what size 888 (170 200)?

    The Travis is probably the better choice out of those 2. The 888VF2 wasn't their high end 888 fork.

    Not all 888's are created equal.
    Find and 888 rc or rc2x.
    Skip the Travis entirely, too tall.

    I'd say that model 888 will still feel better then the Travis.....but I second the upgrade to a RC or RC2X or RC3

    why is everybody saying a travis is too tall? I have a single crown 200mm travis and it is only 1cm longer then the totem at 180mm.
    somebody I know has a dual crown and he says it is lower then a boxer.
