Concords No Child Left Inside Initiative
No Child Left Inside is an initiative launched in 2007 by Mayor Mark Peterson. The goal of the program is to motivate young people to spend more time participating in physical activities and less time watching television and playing computer games.
The mayor will lead four free Saturday activities during the year.
I was inspired to establish the No Child Left Inside program after reading many articles about the national increase in childhood obesity, he said.

Saturday, June 2 Family Pool Party and Barbecue at Concord Community Pool -
Saturday, Sept. 8 Family Bike Ride Details coming soon
Saturday, Dec. 1 Sports Sampler Day Concords Community Youth Center Details coming soon
Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay has been asked to take part in the September 8 event and we need volunteers! This Willows Shopping Center based event will include kid-sized rides on the Iron Horse Trail and a BTCEB Information Kiosk.
Sponsors include REI and Clif Bar!
