2003 Fox float 80 RL, do a manual or anything that pulls the fork to the begining of the travel and the fork makes a clank noise, and feels slightly loose. I'm assuming the the bushing are worn out. Is that a good guess?
I dont know much about this so I cant be certain, but I had a rock shox Jett *OEM POS* and It started doing that after about 2 months of riding. I was told it had to be completely rebuild (internals) but I never did...its just a garage ordamint now.
*either your to fat (not to be rude or anything) or you need something rebuilt, thats my bet*
No one can likely help you better on here then your bike shop. Just go there and have them take a look, Im sure they'll be plenty happy for your buisness.
Just be prepared to spend atleast 100 bucks on a rebuild *totally worth it though in 99.9% of the cases I've seen*
Worn bushings can be detected by locking the brakes and rocking the fork back and forth. What you are describing though is a top-out. sounds like the negative spring could be kaput. I've never seen it on a Fox but an old White Brothers fork of mine had broken negative springs and if I lifted the front end of the bike up the fork would go KLUNK. Kind of like a Marzocchi.

It's a little of both, the fork seems to wiggle a little, when I pull up it clunks. I can replace seals, but I don't feel like doing a rebuild, I have better things to do with my time.
