the performer is martha argerich. argerich is crazy! plays with reckless abandon -- her recordings, often live, aren't note perfect, but have an amazing energy that many other performers lack in their sterility.

that's the thing -- while classical radio stations surely pull that audience, there's a bunch of us kids that grew up playing this stuff, even those of us who drive riced out imports
