I am considering taking a couple of dh/fr clinics next year (only 1 clinic but there are some choices) Simple question, do you think they would be useful. And if you have done one, was it worth while. I saw some big improvements this year by riding with some better riders but I am wondering if I could accelerate that with some pro help.

Thoughts/opions?

Cheers

I liked the Shaums clinic. Probably overpriced (edit: Shouldn't say 'probably overpriced; rather, 'definitely expensive'-it's not really *over*priced) at $250, but hey, it's really close contact with a pro who's great at analyzing you and breaking down the complexities of riding well into easy-to-follow directions. www.madmarchracing.com, I think. Lots of fun, and a unique experience.

I ride with some really fast dudes on occasion, but most of them just ride well instinctively and can't break it down like Shaums did. Plus, they're usually too far ahead of me to do anything but demonstrate to me how slow I am.

the clinics ive been to have helped me a lot, but i think it might just be that u have to go so much faster to keep up with the person and u try to do more so u dont look so bad.

Definately useful. I did a clinic with Eric Carter and Rich Houseman; it was awesome :thumb: They did the clinic during a race, so they went overy every turn, g-out, rock garden, everything. That has helped me to move up a class and still get on the podium. Thanks guys!!!!!!

Cool. I think I will be taking a clinic. There are a few to choose from depending on what I want to learn. Would love to do the 7 days one but they charge a tonne and considering I live here wouldn't need food and lodging haha.

Can't wait. Cheers.
