I was looking at a picture and i noticed a rider with clipless pedals, and i was curious if most riders did this for this kind of event.

I would bet people who usually ride/race with clipless would have also used them in the rampage. You want to feel as comfortable and normal on your bike if you're going to be in the air for a long time

I ride at that site every now and then. Clipless pedals are the last thing I want on my bike while riding there. Just my opinion though. No one I ride with uses them either.

well the two irish riders there (ben reid and glyn o'brien) both race w/ clipless, but rode flats for the rampage.

I remember seeing pics of Johnny Waddel ridin clipless at the Rampage a few years ago (before his accident obviously), not my cup-o-tea though
